A seminar focused on the future of intellectual property protection in China was held between the Intellectual Property Court of the Supreme People's Court (SPC) and the National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) on Feb 14.
A delegation of the Intellectual Property Court, led by Luo Dongchuan, vice-president of the SPC and president of the Intellectual Property Court, visited CNIPA for a meeting with CNIPA head Shen Changyu.
At the conference, Luo made a brief introduction of the background and responsibilities of the Intellectual Property Court and its performance since its establishment on Jan 1, 2019.
He expressed his gratitude for CNIPA’s support in judicial talent recruitment and information and data sharing.
The court has been working smoothly and will make efforts to cooperate with CNIPA in diversified aspects such as informatization and talent exchange, said Luo.
Luo said the efficient mechanism that integrates the judicial and administrative protection shall be established to support the construction of world-leading intellectual property judicial organ, to better serve innovation-driven development and promote IP development, and to build China into a powerful nation of science and technology.
Shen also said he hoped that the two sides will strengthen cooperation in integrated mechanism, information sharing, talent cultivation and publicizing of typical IP cases.
Wang Chuang, Zhou Xiang and Li Jian, vice-presidents of the Intellectual Property Court, and judicial staff members of the court also visited the CNIPA.
