        Release time:2019-04-04 17:02:59 source:enipc.kfyzwh.com

Luo Dongchuan, Vice-President of the Supreme People’s Court (SPC) and Head of the Intellectual Property Court of SPC met with Craig Allen, President of the US-China Business Council (USCBC) in Beijing on Mar 26.

Luo welcomed Allen and his delegation. He gave them an introduction of the Intellectual Property Court and progress made in judicial protection of intellectual property rights in China.
China's judicial protection of intellectual property has been started from scratch in decades, and the credit and influence of the country's intellectual property law were greatly improved in recent years, according to Luo.
The establishment of the Intellectual Property Court of SPC was a major decision made from the strategic height of developing a powerful nation in terms of intellectual property as well as science and technology. The Court will provide strong judicial guarantee for the implementation of innovation-driven development strategy, will increase judicial protection of intellectual property rights, and will protected the legitimate rights and interests of both Chinese and foreign IPR holders, he said.
Luo also said he hopes USCBC will play a positive role in exchanges between US and China on judicial protection of intellectual property.
Allen said the establishment of the Intellectual Property Court is a revolutionary progress in the field in China and is meaningful in building an international, market-driven and legislative business environment, adding that he expects more exchanges and cooperation between the Intellectual Property Court and the USCBC.
